We Are Cardiff

On the 8 August, photographer Lorna Cabble wandered into the centre of Cardiff’s Carnival and let her camera rip. The carnival is organised by SWICA, and was a riotous burst of sunshine and joy on our streets!

Breakin’ the Bay 2015

Breakin’ The Bay is a free annual Hip Hop festival held at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay.

It’s truly a celebration of Hip Hop culture covering the elements of DJ and MCing along with graffiti and street art too.

Held over the weekend of 8th and 9th of August the event attracted thousands of supporters from across Cardiff and further afield.

On Friday blacked out graffiti boards were erected outside the WMC ready for a whole host of artists to paint over the weekend.

Organised by local writer Rmer – who invited the artists from across the capital city and more from Birmingham, London and Ireland too!

Set amongst the stunning architecture of the WMC they painted in the strong Saturday sun (with or without hangovers) whilst spectators watched them hard at work, chatted and took photos.
